YOUR HELP

Please hear our Rally Cry for volunteers! The Flamborough Fire Festival is organised by our wonderful volunteers who kindly join the Festival Organising Team to help both before the event and/or on the night to make sure that the event happens!

We cannot thank our volunteers enough for all the kind support they give but, we are always in need of more people to give of their time, even for a few hours on the night to help marshal or to kindly give more time to help in the build-up to the event when we are always in need of extra helping hands.

If you would like to become a Flamborough Fire Festival Volunteer then please don't hesitate to get in touch as you would be most welcome.

We need Volunteers to be:

Marshals - especially on the night of the Festival - if only for a few hours.

Bucket Collectors - to help collect the valuable donations we give the many wonderful charities and community groups the Festival supports.

First Aiders - if you are a trained first aider or would like to become trained in first aid then we will be delighted to have you on the team.

Fireball Swingers - are you interested in becoming a Flamborough Fireball Swinger? If you are fit and active then we will be pleased to give you training on how to become one of our magnificent fireball swingers. Almost half of our swingers are female.

Fire Torch Bearer - if you would like to carry a traditional Viking fire torch in the parade then all you have to do is ask and we will give you the training you need to become part of the Fire Torch Team!

Viking Warriors - to help pull the Flamborough Viking Longship along the parade route. Our longship is not that heavy and with everyone pulling together she moves along the street very gracefully!

Costume Makers - to help make the Viking costumes for both the kids and adults taking part to ensure our parade looks absolutely stunning!

General Helpers - anyone to help with all sorts of jobs which need doing both before and on the night.

Everyone is welcome. You don't just have to live in Flamborough!

It’s just not possible to stage the Festival without the help of our volunteers - they make it happen! Thank you to everyone.
